There are many advantages to living in a condo:

-Condominiums are a more affordable housing option to freehold ownership, whether you are planning to live in the condo yourself or use it as an investment and rent it out.
-There is no grass to cut and no snow to shovel, leaving you more time for travel and other fun pursuits.
-Access to the building and underground parking is restricted to residents with key fobs, which provides a layer of security.
-Being able to take an elevator means you don’t have to climb stairs, making it easier if you have bad knees or mobility issues.
-Many condo complexes include shared spaces, such as party rooms, libraries, gyms, pools and guest suites, which is more cost effective than having to provide them in your own individual home.
-Condos are often located close to transit and shopping, which is very convenient.
-Condos provide organized social activities, making it easier to meet others and form new friendships.

Condo unit costs and monthly maintenance fees vary based on building location, building age, unit size, floor level, unit view, unit finishes, amenities, parking and lockers.

When choosing a condo, ask yourself these questions:
Where do I want to live?
How much space do I need?
What floor do I want to live on?
How important is the view?
How important is it that the unit is already renovated and move-in ready?
What amenities are important to me and what ones do I not need and prefer not to pay for?
Am I fully informed about the rules regarding pets, BBQing, decorating, parking and renting to a tenant?
